MaryAnn Gaines




I received my Ed.D in Educational Administration in 1998, my MEd in reading in 1982, and my BSE degree in elementary education in 1976. I am currently an Associate Professor teaching educational administration courses at Texas A&M University-Commerce. My previous work experience includes being the director of a teacher preparation program at the university level, former elementary school principal, assistant principal, and teacher. I have taught almost every grade from kindergarten through graduate students at the university level.  


In K-12, my expertise is in school administration, English, and reading. My research areas are in technology, quality educator preparation programs, and personality and its impact on leadership style
