Paul Eakin, Professor of Mathematics at the University of Kentucky, has been working with colleagues for 15 years on the implications of technology for the teaching of mathematics. The current focus of their efforts is a site intended to support integrated local/distance mathematics instruction. The site, www.mathclass.org, also provides the platform for the Kentucky Early Mathematics Testing Program, which was created by the Kentucky legislature last spring.EXPERTISE
