Alexander Scheeline

Originally from Hollidaysburg, PA, Alexander Scheeline got his undergraduate training in chemistry at Michigan State University, his Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and was a post-doctoral fellow at the National Institute for Standards and Technology. After briefly serving as Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of Iowa, he moved to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he is Professor of Chemistry. He has also served as a program officer in the Chemistry Division of the National Science Foundation, and is editor of the Journal of the Analytical Sciences Digital Library. 


Optical spectroscopy, chemical instrumentation, oscillating chemical reactions, sensors, nonlinear dynamics.
