BIO

Dr. Elizabeth Oyer, Director of Evaluation Solutions (www.evalsolutions.com). I am a seasoned evaluator with experience in large scale research and evaluation efforts since 1996. I have a PhD. in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Inquiry from Indiana University in Bloomington; IN. I began my career as a research specialist at the renowned National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago in 1996. While there, I managed data collection and personnel training for several large research studies, including the Early Childhood Longitudinal Survey. Following my role at NORC, I directed the evaluation for a twenty-five school health and drug use prevention study in Chicago as part of the Prevention Research Center (now the Health Research and Policy Center) at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Since 2000, I have committed to full-time evaluation consulting and have managed several large-scale multi-site initiatives in Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky utilizing a variety of sophisticated statistical analysis strategies. My evaluation experiences include local evaluations for science-content professional development, formative evaluation of extra-curricular science and math extracurricular programs, as well as evaluator for problem-based-learning and inquiry in elementary science. I am currently directing the state-level evaluation for the Illinois MSP.
