BIO

Dr. Susan Cook is the Senior Education Associate for the Ocean Research and Conservation Association. Prior to this, she served as Director of Education at the Consortium for Ocean Leadership in Washington DC and PI for the Central Coordinating Office of the Centers for Ocean Sciences Education Excellence. From 2001 to 2004, she served as an Associate Program Director for Ocean Education at the National Science Foundation. Prior to that IPA assignment, Dr. Cook established and directed ocean education programs at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution in Florida and the Bermuda Biological Station for Research. Dr. Cook received a Ph.D. in Zoology from Duke University and was a Bunting Institute Science Scholar at Harvard University.

My main area of work has been the design, management and evaluation of education programs at research-focused non-profit institutions.
