BIO

Jean MacGregor has been both a teacher and a leader in learning community work for over 20 years. With Barbara Leigh Smith, she co-founded the Washington Center for Improving the Quality of Undergraduate Education, which has served as a national resource for learning community development, implementation, and assessment. Jean MacGregor currently is a senior scholar at the Washington Center where she directs its new "Curriculum for the Bioregion" initiative, whose goal is to engage more undergraduates in experiential learning related to environment, community, and sustainability.
