Everly Broadway




Everly Broadway is Section Chief for Middle and Secondary Mathematics at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction in Raleigh, NC. She holds a B.S. in Secondary Education/Mathematics from Baylor University in Waco, TX, an M.A. in Mathematics Education from the University of Texas at Austin and an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. For 14 years, Everly taught middle and high school mathematics in California, Texas, and North Carolina before becoming the Director of Mathematics for Durham Public Schools, an urban district of 35,000 students in Durham, NC. Under Everly's leadership, the teachers and administrators in Durham participated in a six-year Local Systemic Change project in mathematics, Realizing Achievement in Mathematics Performance (RAMP) Project (NSF Award #9819542). Everly also served in Durham as the Director of a state funded MSP project focused on middle school mathematics and science. In her current position she serves as Director of the NC MSP program. Everly's research focuses on the role of curriculum in secondary mathematics achievemen
