BIO

Karen Embry Jenlink was recently appointed Dean of the School of Education at St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas. Her professional career spans 25 years in public schools and universities where she has served as a bilingual educator, administrator, professor, curriculum specialist, and educational consultant. Jenlink has served in a variety of state offices, most notably as president of the Consortium of State Organizations for Texas Teacher Education.

Research agenda: Teacher preparation in urban settings, teacher leadership and professional identity; professional development.
Curriculum design: science and technology curriculum & career paths in secondary and postsecondary education; Texas middle level teacher certification standards setting and test development (State Board for Educator Certification)
