BIO

John Sheridan (B.S. Ed Major: Earth Science. M.Ed., Concentration: Earth Science. CAGS in School Administration.) is the Middle School Professional Development Specialist for the Boston Public Schools. Prior to this he has taught science at the elementary, middle and high school levels and has coordinated the implementation of the last 3 science adoptions. He has presented science and math workshops for the following: MAST, MASS, BPS , Algebra Project, PALMS Summer Institutes, DOE Callbacks, Bridgewater South Shore Collaborative, E-Mat, Haitian Multi-Service Center and the Title One Parent Center. He was selected as a PALMS (Partnership Advancing the Learning of Math and Science, a state systemic initative) Fellow for the Boston Public Schools. Some of the partners he has worked with are: Boston University, Northeastern Univ., UMass-Boston, Boston College, Tufts University, EDC, TERC, Museum of Science, New England Aquarium, Children's Museum, Maine Math & Science Alliance, and Merck Institute of Science Education. Presently he is implementing The Boston Science Partnership Grant.
