Roxane Johnson De Lear
- ED MSP Program
- Roles: State Coordinator
BIOI grew up in New Jersey and promptly moved to Tucson, Arizona after high school graduation. My undergraduate degree major was geography, while my masters was in general biology. My graduate research was studying the effects of fire on Agave palmeri, a succulent native to the Chihuahuan and Sonoran deserts and pollinated by nectar-feeding bats.
I taught middle school science and high school biology for eleven years in Arizona. After living in Arizona for all of my adult life, I moved back to the east coast and am happily settled into life in Boston, gardening in the Minton Stables Community Garden and working as the Science Assistance Coordinator at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
