BIO

Bill Waller is Research Associate Professor of Astronomy in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Tufts University. His research speciality is in observational astrophysics with a focus on stellar birth processes in galaxies and observational signposts of galaxy evolution. He is co-author of the college-level book "Galaxies and the Cosmic Frontier," author of several popular astronomy articles, and co-editor of conference proceedings in astronomy and space science education. He is also Co-Investigator with the New England Space Science Initiative in Education (NESSIE), a NASA program aimed at fostering partnerships among space scientists and educators for educational programs throughout the New England region.
