BIO

Karen is a Research Associate at RMC Research Corporation in Portland, Oregon. Her work at RMC Research focuses on program evaluation, measurement, instrument development, and Rasch modeling. Shes particularly interested in gifted education, social emotional learning, social cognition, and school climate and culture. Currently, Karen leads or contributes to multiple evaluations at RMC Research including:
the Healthy Schools Program
Lets Move! Active Schools
Scholastics Math 180 Curriculum
Washington ReadingCorps
Two NSF-funded projectsTEAMS and STEP.
Karen received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and her Masters Degree in Measurement, Education, Statistics, and Assessment from the University of Illinois at Chicago. 

EXPERTISE

Survey development, quanitiative analysis including multilevel modeling and Rasch modeling, research design, and program evaluation.
