Alisha Sparks

Alisha Sparks serves as the Program Manager for the STEM Achievement in Baltimore Elementary Schools (SABES) NSF grant. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Voorhees College (Denmark, SC) and Master of Arts in Instructional Systems Development from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (Baltimore, MD). She holds a Maryland State Department of Education Advanced Professional Certificate in Mathematics Grades 7 - 12. While working for the Baltimore City Public Schools, she served as a math teacher at Digital Harbor High School and a staff associate and an educational specialist in the Office of Enrollment, Choice and Transfers. She has also served as the Project Director for Baltimore CDF Freedom Schools and was the Director of K-12 Programs at the Center for Women and Information Technology (CWIT) at UMBC.
