BIO

Kavita Mittapalli is a research and program evaluator based in Northern VA. Currently, she is evaluating 3 NSF grants. Robert Noyce Scholarship Program-Math for America, DC , STEM grant to JHU (aka-SABES), and Hagerstown Com Col. ATE Track Microscopy grant. She is co-evaluating NBPTS and Safford County (AZ) Teacher Incentive Fund grants, 2 21st CCLC grants for Frederick County Public Schools (MD), a DoDEA grant for Harford Co. and is a contractor to Ohio Coalition for Education of Children with Disabilities to complete a best practices research project.

In the past, Kavita completed technology grant evaluations for PG and Cecil Counties (World History Hybrid Course) and two USDE funded teacher preparation programs for American University and reports for PG County's Teacher Incentive Fund (TiF) grant. She also evaluated Jubilee Housing Youth Services Program.

Between Oct 2008- June 2010, Kavita completed needs assessment of 39 UNCF member institutions as part of a Mellon Foundation grant. Previously, at Social Dynamics, she managed the Financial Literacy for Youth with Disabilities project funded by the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy.

Kavita has over 15 years experience in the areas of survey research, health communication research, education research, and program evaluation. She has worked on several federal, state, and local school districts' research and program evaluation grants while employed at CCSSO, RMC Research Corporation, Kadel Research Consulting, National Council for Community and Education Partnerships, and ICF International.
