Tamala Vaughn

Tamala has worked in the early childhood education field for over 15 years. She began her career as a teacher in a Head Start program in Northwest Ohio and eventually assumed a leadership role within the Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral system. She studied Early Childhood Education at the University of Cincinnati for two years, and went on to complete her B.S. in Organizational Leadership (Department of Educational Leadership) at Wright State University. She obtained her M.S. in Leadership Development, also from Wright State University. Tamala has served on local, regional, and state early childhood boards and committees and has been a guest writer for Columbus Parent Magazine. Tamala serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Dayton, in the Early Childhood Leadership and Advocacy program. She is currently a Curriculum and Instruction (Early Childhood) PhD student, and a graduate assistant in the NURTURES program, at the University of Toledo.
