Jacquelyn Flowers

BIO

Ms. Flowers taught high school mathematics for 12 years then she served as the instructional coach/partner, district secondary instructional specialist, and high school assistant principal of instruction at Bob Jones High School. She is a Cohort One member of the Instructional Partners Network in the State of Alabama. Ms. Flowers is now the District Mathematics Specialist for Florence City Schools. Ms. Flowers is one of the co-founders of EdCampMadisonAL and is the process of co-founding EdCampFlorenceAL. She is also a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and has been named to Who's Who Among American High School Teachers. She has written book reviews for The Mathematical Association of America (http://mathdl.maa.org/mathDL/19/?pa=reviews&sa=viewBook&bookId=67202). Ms. Flowers served on the advisory board for Mathematics Illuminated which won the global Webvisionary Award for 2008 in the Educational/Resource category (http://sward13.net/mathematics-illuminated-wins-webvisionary-award/). She consulted on units five and nine, Other Dimensions and Game Theory (http://www.learner.org/courses/mathilluminated/)
