Tammy Newcomer

BIO

Tammy Newcomer will be a NSF G6-12 Fellow from June 1st 2010 to June
1st 2011. She is a 3rd year PhD student at the University of
Maryland, College Park where she studies nutrient cycling through
Baltimore area ponds and streams. Before starting graduate school,
Tammy served as a technician for both the residential carbon project
and a project focused on modeling flash floods with Andy Miller.
Tammy is a strong proponent of hands-on outdoor education and she is
really looking forward to the opportunity to help teachers engage in
experiments and fieldtrips that explore local ecosystems.
