BIO

Augusto Macalalag Jr., Asst. Director of STEM Education Research at the Center for Innovation in Engineering and Science Education, is responsible for conducting teacher workshops, program development, research, and publications as part of the National Science Foundation's Mathematics and Science Partnerships Program. His research interests include improving K-12 science and engineering education through teacher preservice and inservice programs. He has a B.S. in Chemistry, M.A. in Education from St. Peter's College, and Post-Masters in Educational Leadership from The College of New Jersey. He is currently working on his Ed.D. in Science Education from Rutgers University . Before joining CIESE, he taught different levels of high school Physics and Chemistry for seven years.
