BIO

Simeon Slovacek, Ph.D., is the Evaluator for the A^3 Project.

Dr. Slovacek earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Syracuse University and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Educational Research & Evaluation Methodology from Cornell University.

He is a Professor in the Division of Applied & Advanced Studies in Education in the Charter College of Education at CSULA. His duties include teaching, scholarship, research, advisement, fiscal and research grant management. Dr. Slovacek is an expert in research and evaluation methodology, testing, statistics, school reform and technology in Education. He has worked on dozens of evaluation grants/contracts and has authored or co-authored over thirty funded grant proposals at the University, public agencies and school districts in the last 15 years (these have been funded for more than a cumulative total of $15,000,000). He has been instrumental in starting three new charter K-12 schools and currently serves on their boards of trustees as a founding trustee.
