Paul Gothold

BIO

Paul Gothold, M.A. is a Co-Principal Investigator for A^3.


Mr. Gothold received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Master of the Arts degree in Education at Whittier College in Whittier, CA.

He currently serves as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for grades 9-12 for the MUSD. Mr. Gothold oversees multiple categorical funds, including the California High School Exit Exam intervention monies, AB 1802 funding, the Physical Education/Visual & Performing Arts grant, and a Teaching American History grant. Mr. Gothold also teaches a Secondary Curriculum Methods course at Whittier College. He has been a public educator for fifteen years, six of which he served as a high school principal, four as an assistant principal, and five as a teacher. In the 1990s, Mr. Gothold co-wrote a Digital High School grant proposal that secured $27 million for computers, software, internet, and professional development funds to focus on integration of technology with academic content standards. He is also very familiar with CSULA, having served as Principal of the Los Angeles High School for the Arts located on the CSULA campus.
