MSPnet Email Privacy Policy

Your mail is private. MSPnet staff will not read your mail.

However, in order to deal with the technical difficulties such as server downtime, data recovery, bulk mail, and spam mail activity, MSPnet reserves the right to:

  • Review aggregate transmission activity and content data (ex. collect automated data on total number of messages sent, total recipients, length of subject lines, line and word count of messages) and report statistics on aggregate use.
  • Review messages when necessary to provide sender with technical support.
  • Review content of suspected "bulk mail" messages, some characteristics of which include:
    • Messages sent from email accounts not associated with an individual (i.e. listservs, group email aliases, and fake email addresses).
    • Messages transmitted to several hundred recipients in multiple projects.
    • Messages which have triggered complaints from recipients.

Our policy limits sending a single message to no more than 300 members of other projects. Senders of bulk mail will be notified and in cases of abuse mail privileges will be suspended.
