Event: ED/NSF STEM Summit

Dec 11, 2007
Dec 12, 2007

Washington, DC

The U.S. Department of Education (ED) in collaboration with the National Science Foundation (NSF) will host a STEM Summit in Washington, D.C., on December 11-12, 2007.

The purpose of this STEM Summit is to bring together mathematicians, scientists, and engineering faculty from both the ED-funded and the NSF-funded Math and Science Partnerships (MSP) for sharing and discussion of their experiences in this K-20 work.

Ultimately, it is hoped that this will create a network of MSP-STEM faculty and lead to furthering the national effort that advances the engagement of STEM faculty in working to improve the teaching and learning of mathematics, science and engineering. NSF and ED have issued invitations to STEM faculty within their respective MSP programs.

Keynote speakers from this conference will be videotaped and their presentations will be shared on MSPnet.
