Mia Ong, MSPnet Researcher, named to the Committee on Equal Opportunities in Science and Engineering

We congratulate Mia Ong, TERC MSPnet Researcher, on her invitation to serve as a consultant to NSF as a member of the Committee on Equal Opportunities in Science and Engineering (CEOSE).

CEOSE is composed of approximately 15 people from scientific and engineering fields who have a strong interest in increasing and retaining women, underrepresented minorities, and persons with disabilities in science and engineering. Legislated by Congress in 1980, CEOSE advises NSF concerning policies and activities of the Foundation that encourage full participation of underrepresented groups in science, engineering, education, professional and technical fields. CEOSE reports to the Director of NSF and as such is a unique standing advisory group.
