Job Opening: Chemistry Instructors, University of South Florida

University of South Florida is moving into a leadership position in chemistry and science education at all levels. The additional instructors will contribute through classroom teaching, coordination and supervision of laboratory courses, curriculum development, and participation in long-term collaborative efforts contributing to growth and advancement of chemistry and science education in the university and through regional and statewide projects. Two 12-month instructor positions are available. One of these will also assume administrative responsibilities as half-time assistant chair (position #8883). The second position will also coordinate the undergraduate organic chemistry teaching laboratories (position #5093). The third position will be a 9-month appointment with the primary assignment of teaching undergraduate courses such as general chemistry, chemistry for non-majors, etc (position #6609). Summer employment is usually available. Please reference position(s) for which you are applying in your letter of application. Completion of all requirements for a Ph.D. in Chemical Education, Chemistry or a closely related discipline by August 29th, 2005 is mandatory for all three positions. Salary will be competitive.
