Microsoft scholarship for high school students interested in technology

Microsoft announces a scholarship for high school students who are interested in creating a technology project to help a charity or public service organization. The scholarship program is called You Can Make a Difference ( 10 finalists (5 male and 5 female students) will be chosen from the US & Canada for the pilot at the end of May, and each finalist will receive $2,500 in the form of a scholarship, $1,500 to be used to implement the project, and a $1,000 technology grant for the school s/he comes from. The scholarship recipients will also get a Microsoft mentor to help them during the implementation of the project during this summer. Everyone who enters the competition will receive a complimentary copy of Visual Studio.NET Academic Edition via a comp'd Premium membership on theSpoke.
