The Influence of Socioeconomic Factors on Kentucky's Public School Accountability System: Does Poverty Impact School Effectiveness?

Abstract

The Kentucky Accountability System (CATS) was intended to correct for bias based on socioeconomic status. Recent research results suggest that this bias against High Schools still exists. Moreover the gap between high and low poverty schools remains large.
