Chicago Transformation Teacher Institutes (CTTI) Effective Teaching through Teacher Leadership, Content Understanding, and Pedagogical Training


This poster covers the activities of the Chicago Transformation Teacher Institutes from the perspective of 'supporting effective teaching.' The poster includes information on our program model and the associated theory of change for how an institute program in high school science and mathematics can, through courses, workshops, and other events, support the work of teacher leaders within schools. The particular focus of teacher work on developing and supporting grade 12 programs, and also in aligning instruction in grades 9, 10, and 11 towards rigorous work in grade 12, is discussed.
