Abstract

A report from the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education links a successful public education system with a prospering economy. The report starts by clearly defining why high school graduation and work readiness matter and then examines the following issues: (1) Early life experiences, (2) Academic achievement in every grade and (3) Transition to work or postsecondary education.
