Literacy in the content areas: How teachers use math and science to teach literacy and use literacy to enhance math and science content

"Teachers, literacy coaches, and media specialists who were taking classes through a math and science partnership and who also teach literacy were interviewed to discover how they use math and science to teach literacy and how they use literacy strategies to teach math and science content. The study concluded that these teachers are using literacy strategies across content areas and are engaging students in reading and writing using math and science texts."
