"The Appalachian Mathematics and Science Partnership (AMSP) is an integrated initiative of nine institutions of higher education (IHE), fifty-one* school districts, the Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation, and the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence. The project is nearing the end of the first year of implementation of a comprehensive, five-year program of rural education reform in mathematics and science. This report provides a synopsis of the activities and strategies which have been initiated to date."
