The Ideal NC-PIMS Classroom

Description

Sometime ago, we asked our Facilitators, and some of our Lead Teachers, to elaborate on the characteristics of the ideal NC-PIMS classroom in terms of what is it that we envision teachers and students doing as a consequence of the project experience. Collectively those elaborations from Facilitators and Lead Teachers on the "ideal NC-PIMS classroom" were captured largely in a comprehensive description by one of our Facilitators, Joyce Hodges. With her permission, and with minor modifications, we post the following "working ideal" of our NC-PIMS professional development outcome for teachers, students and their mathematics learning environment.
