PROM/SE is please to announce that nationally recognized mathematicians and mathematics educators are teaching three academic courses as part of the summer program. The courses are open to all teachers in participating PROM/SE districts in Michigan and Ohio. The special courses are:
- "Rational Numbers and Proportional Reasoning" taught by Dr. Glenda Lappan, University Distinguished Professor, Michigan State University. Offered July 5-21 in East Lansing, MI.
- "Advanced Study of Whole Numbers and Fundamental Concept of Number" taught by Dr. Hung-Hsi Wu, Professor of Mathematics, University of California at Berkeley. Offered July 31-Aug 4 in Cleveland, OH.
- "Algebra for Middle School Teachers with Connections" taught by Dr. Paul Sally, Professor of Mathematics, University of Chicago. Offered Aug 14-18 in Holt, MI.
