The Milwaukee Mathematics Partnership will hold a "Math Teacher Leader Institute" Tuesday, Aug. 24, and Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Bradley Tech High School, 700 S. 4th St.
The mathematics partnership, a collaborative effort involving mathematics and education faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) and Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS), is sponsoring the institute to help the MPS math teacher leaders develop their leadership skills, build mathematical content knowledge that is aligned with the district's math framework and learning targets, and develop strategies to address changes in the way mathematics is taught and students are evaluated.
